Mo Graph, Less Money

Mariano Rivera had an amazing career.  (Cue the game show audience)  How amazing was it?  It was so amazing, that I actually miss seeing him enter games... and that's saying a lot, because I can't stand the New York Yankees.

But we've already seen his numbers and records, so I'll get straight to the point.  This generation was blessed to have witnessed greatness and there's no denying his place in the history of the game.

And when it comes to autographed memorabilia... you're usually going to have to dig deep into your pockets to pay for greatness.

PSA/DNA slabbed autographs of Mo have been selling in the $65 to $95 range.  You can expect to pay $80 to $175 for his certified, pack pulled, logoless autographs.  And if you're looking for one that shows off the Yankee's logo... the cheapest I've seen on eBay recently closed at over $120.

Thankfully Steiner Sports have given collectors the opportunity to own his autograph for $50 plus shipping.

A few weeks ago, they had a special on autographed copies of his book, "The Closer".  I know it's not an autographed card or photo, but it's perfect for collectors who are on a budget.

The signature comes on a book plate (equivalent to a sticker autograph) and includes a Steiner hologram.

Right now their website has these books listed for $199.99.  But every now and then, they'll drop the price down to $50.  I've seen them do it three times in the past two months.

Well that's it for today.  Happy Thursday and sayonara!

Very cool. Congrats on being able to spend aprox. one sixth of what I spent to get Mo's autograph.

I've been wanting a Rivera auto too. Congrats on the great bargain!

I'd love to eventually add an autographed card of Rivera to my collection... but I can't imagine that's going to happen any time soon.

If you don't mind a book plate, check out Steiner every now and then. I'm sure their $50 deal will pop up sooner or later.
