"Ultimately, three errors cost us the ballgame. Mine probably being the biggest." -Chipper Jones
Papa Fuji raised me to take responsibility for my actions. I guess Chipper's dad did too. Which just adds to the long list of reasons, I consider him to be a class act and a great ball player.
For nearly two decades he's given baseball fans everything we could ask for: hard work, solid hitting, dedication, and loyalty.
And when he announced that he would be retiring at the end of the season, I knew my Sports Card Trifecta collection would be incomplete without his presence. So in honor of his final game and the end of an era, I present to you my newest sports card trifecta:
Memorabilia Card: 2004 Cracker Jack "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" #CJ
Rookie Card: 1991 O-Pee-Chee #333
Autographed Card: 1998 Bowman's Best Autographs #5
Sayonara Chipper! Thanks for the memories.
