The Damaged Zone

You are about to enter another dimension... a dimension of not only sight and sound... but of mind.  A journey into a wondrous collection of creased and mangled cardboard.  Next stop... The Damaged Zone.

Meet my 1990 Star Vero Beach baseball card of...

Mr. Mike Piazza.

This card looks like it went through a ten year old's bicycle spokes.  It's has multiple creases, larger dimples than Kate Middleton...

and more curves than Kim Kardashian.

But that's okay... because there's a special place in my collection where flawed, beat up, and imperfect sports cards feel loved and appreciated.  My Damaged Card PC.

Congratulations Mr. Piazza on being elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame!  I promise to provide your non-mint 2nd year minor league card a warm home where it will be protected from any further harm.

Happy Friday and sayonara!

This post was a roller coaster of emotion! First the condition of the Piazza made me sad, then I was all "ahhhh..." cuz Kate Middleton is a breath of fresh air, followed by the unexpected, unwanted, upsetting presence of Kim Kardashian causing me to audibly shudder, and finally the fate of the ruined Piazza gave my faith in humanity a slight boost.
