Where: De Anza Flea Market
What: 1972 World Series Program (Oakland A's version)
How Much: $25
I've slowly been building a small PC based on the 1972 Oakland A's. So far... I'm purchased a 1972 World Series pennant from the flea market last September for $10.
I'm also trying to build a complete 1972 Topps team set... I'm down to the last 7 cards, but they're all from the last series... so they're kind of pricey. Here are a few of the key cards from that set:
In December, I added my first World Series ticket stub to the collection. It's one of the Cincinnati Reds tickets, which go for a lot less on Ebay... compared to the Oakland ones... but at least it's a start. This one cost me $9.99 (+ $3.50 shipping):
And finally... after months of searching... I've finally picked up a 1972 Oakland A's World Series program. The lady who sold me the Harlem Globetrotters cards a few months back had this laying on her table. It's in amazing condition and the scorecard is unmarked. She offered it to me for $25, so I did a quick Ebay search from my phone... which revealed the prices ranging from $45.90 to $95. Sounded like a good deal to me, so I grabbed it. Another guy was interested in it... but the lady kindly told him that I had first dibs.
I'm slowly adding more and more memorabilia to this collection. Hopefully I can get my hands on one of the World Series tickets when they played in Oakland.
What about all of you...
Do any of you collect World Series memorabilia?
Specific year? Teams? Programs? Ticket Stubs?
Well... I hope all of you enjoy your Sunday afternoon... and have a great week. Sayonara!

Wow, those are some fantastic pickups. I honestly hadn't thought about collecting items like that but after reading this post I've decided to start (thanks a lot, you just cost me a couple hundred bucks I'm sure!).
I had planned to collect the '72, '73 and '74 A's sets, though.
Nathan - The 72 A's set isn't too bad... until you get to the high #'s... none of them are worth hundreds of dollars... but I'm struggling to pay $15 to $20 for a common player... which explains why I haven't finished my set... LOL.
Nathan - Oh... and good luck with those sets... I might have to build the 73 & 74 sets myself.
Do you need the Angel Mangual #62? I have one that I just got from the topps million contest if you want it. It's not pretty but you can see it on my blog and if you want it you can have it. LMK.
The Big Kahuna - thanks for the offer... but I have Mr. Mangual. Need these:
#670 Ken Holtzman
#691 Curt Blefary
#692 Curt Blefary IA
#715 Mike Epstein
#735 David Segui
#753 Denny McLain TR
#780 Dick Green
