As a sports fan, there are some teams I can't help admire. Now before I go any further, I should explain myself. This doesn't mean that I root for them or call them my favorite team. They're just franchises I respect.
The Chicago Cubs are one of those teams. Their team is rich in history... their fans have stuck with them through their 103 year drought... their ballpark is iconic... and some of the best players in the history of the game have called Wrigley Field their home.
Ernie Banks is one of those players. Last November, I picked up this 8x10 autographed photo of Mr. Cub:
The amazing photo, along with the stunning blue ink make this one of my favorite pieces in my collection.
Now usually once I have an autographed photo, I wouldn't need another one.
Now if you're not familiar with me. I'm the kind of guy who has a difficult time passing up a good deal.
So without further adieu, let's welcome my three newest autographed 8x10's to my PC:
Ernie Banks
Can it really hurt to own another autograph of Mr. Banks? The guy is a 2x NL MVP and a 14x MLB All-Star. I think not.
Buck O'Neil
I honestly don't know much about Mr. O'Neill, but from what I've read he was a star in the Negro Leagues, the first African-American MLB coach, and the oldest person to play in a professional baseball game. He dedicated a lot of his life to informing people about the Negro Leagues and helped establish the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
In 2006, O'Neil passed away at the age of 94. Today, the Baseball Hall of Fame has named a lifetime achievement award after him, which it hands out no more than once every three years. He was the first recipient.
By now, you may have figured out that I picked up multiple packages... which explains the two different Ernie autographs.
That means, I have an extra O'Neil autograph to give away in my contest.
Speaking of contests... are you ready for my next mini-contest? I know I said I wouldn't run anymore mini-contests, but I lied. The fact is... they keep things interesting.
So here's what you have to do to enter:
Step 1: Analyze the following IP autographs...
#1
#2
#3
#4
#5
Step 2: Guess the signatures.
See... isn't that simple? Here's how many points you can win:
1 Points - If you take the time to enter, but get 0 correct guesses, I'll give you one point.
2 Points - If you name one autograph correctly, I'll give you two points.
3 Points - If you name two autographs correctly, I'll give you three points.
4 Points - If you name three autographs correctly, I'll give you four points.
6 Points - If you name four autographs correctly, I'll give you six points.
8 Points - If you name all five autographs correctly, I'll give you eight points.
-5 Points - You know the routine. Lack of Participation = Negative Points
Since I'm docking so many points, I'll make sure to leave this mini-contest open for 6 days. So, you have until Saturday at 3pm (PST) to get your guesses in.
Please be aware that there will be at least one more opportunity to earn points during the week.
Comment moderation has been turned on again to keep people from stealing each others guesses. Best of luck!

Oh crap, that said Saturday by 3pm, not Sunday by 3pm. That's gonna leave a mark.
Don't worry... you by far have the most extra credit points in the contest. I won't deduct the 5, since you at least participated.
