My 20th Anniversary copy of The Sandlot finally arrived on Monday, so last night I popped it in and started watching it.
Of course... Tony wanted to pop in and take a photo with the gang as they were heading over to the sandlot.
It's been years since I've seen this movie, but I remember enjoying it back in the day. However the movie was only a bonus. I actually bought it for these:
Yup. Each specially marked movie set comes with a special 10 card set featuring all of the big names including: The Beast, Ham, Squints, and of course Smalls.
The cards have a decent design that includes some of the more memorable lines from the film. Unfortunately there aren't any statistics or information on the back. Instead each card back features The Sandlot logo:
The set was tightly shrink wrapped. It was so tight, I almost damaged the cards attempting to open it up. If you end up buying yourself a set... try not to shake the package too much. The pack of cards isn't secured and floats around the case.
Overall, it's hard to complain about this set since most people are probably buying it for the movie and the cards are just a bonus.
Which brings us to today's question...
If you had a choice... would your rather own the movie or the card set?
Happy Wednesday and sayonara!

I would go for the card set, I can watch the movie with Netflix. Cool card set!
I've seen the movie so many times by now I'd rather have the cards...

Awesome set! I just watched it for the 1,000th time the other night.
I need those cards. Yup. Must have them.
Missed photo opportunity: Tony running from The Beast...
I'm watching The Sandlot on TV right now. Still my all-time favorite movie, and always will be. I really need to pick up one of these sets.
My whole family just loves that movie. I'm off to grab a copy with the cards
I would get it for the cards. I have the dvd, and don't own a Blu-Ray, but if I could find it cheap enough I might get it. Its a movie my nephews and I can agree on.
As much as I like the movie I would have to go for the cards.
The card set - it seems like the movie is on tv at least once a week during the summer.
MLB network was playing it last night. I think I would still go for the cards.
Cards. Not much of a movie guy
I've never seen the movie, gotta admit. Pretty sure it's in the Netflix queue, so I'll remedy that soon enough.
Love the movie! Although, the cards have pushed me over the edge and now I must own it!
Fun cards
Aw shucks... you're right. That would have been cool.
