This week I received a pair of packages... one of them was from our very own Zippy Zappy who authors the Yankees prospects card blog... Torren' Up Cards.
Here's a snapshot of what he sent me for the holidays...
2007 Just Rookies #21 Sean Doolittle
After the A's epic collapse last season... and an off-season trade involving their best hitter... there aren't a lot of bright spots in the Athletics' future. However... if I had to pick one... I'd say it's their pitching. And one of the key reasons is Mr. Doolittle. Believe it or not... this is my first autograph of Sean, but hopefully Topps will find a way to put his signature into future sets.
2010 Topps Chrome #217 Hisanori Takahashi
At thirty-nine years of age... Takahashi probably won't be back in the MLB. But that's okay. This on-card autograph is a nice addition to my Japanese PC.
Zippy also threw in a nice stack of cards for several of my collections... highlighted by the following:
Thanks Kenny for the generous holiday care package. My Christmas break is in less than two weeks. Hopefully I'll have some free time to dig up some Yankees for your collection.
There's a small chance that you'll have to wait until after the holidays. I've been shooting down trades left and right among forum members and fellow bloggers due to my insane school year, outdated trade lists, and my phobia of post offices during the holiday season.
But I promise you I'll get something out to you sooner... than later. Have a safe and entertaining holiday season.
Happy Sunday and sayonara!

Glad you liked the cards Fuji.
And don't worry about returning the favor. Knowing that these cards went to a good home is good enough for me :).
HAH! It's funny to think that this clean-cut first baseman is Sean Doolittle!
