PC Addition: Walking Dead Compendium Vol. 1

There are two shows I watch religiously every week: The Big Bang Theory & The Walking Dead.

Both have hobby ties... since both have trading card sets. And simply put... both bring out the inner nerd in me.

Tonight is The Walking Dead's season two finale... and I'm not going to lie... I'm a little bummed. It means no new episodes for six whole months.

Luckily... this just arrived a few days ago:

It's my brand new copy of The Walking Dead Compendium Volume One. In other words, it's 1,088 pages of The Walking Dead comics... the first 48 comic books to be exact. Usually... I'm not much of a reader, but this time... I think I'll make an exception.

What are your favorite television shows?

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend... sayonara!

I love the Walking Dead! Tonight's episode looks so good. After a very slow start to season 2, the last few episodes have been amazing. I know it's going to be a long wait for season 3, but let's be happy there is a season 3!

The Compendium is something I need to pick up. Just curious, how much was it?

I'm pretty excited myself. We watch it every week and it's always great. It does stand as pretty much the only thing I watch week to week.

B.B.T. - waiting for the cards to hit my Local Comic Shop, hopefully this week or next, so I hear...

I bought it off of eBay for $29.99 (free shipping), but have seen it for less on Amazon since then. The book has a few differences, but I sort of expected that.

I had the opportunity to buy the set at the last card show for $7, but passed on it. If I see it again, I'll probably pick it up.

Yuuuuup! Huge fan of Storage Wars too... but I usually watch three or four in one sitting, instead of once a week.

I tell my students when I'm grading their projects... "I'm looking for the WOW factor!"

I really enjoyed the comics. Read them up to issue 60-something and I really like how they differed the story in the show from the comics to keep us that read a lot of the comics from knowing whats coming next. Great show

Ok, I have to admit, until about a week ago, I had never heard of The Walking Dead. I watched the whole first season in one sitting on Netflix (I didn't get any sleep that day!) They need to get Season Two up ASAP!

& in a week or two MLBTV Premium

Yeah... I'm about 50 pages into the comic and was pleasantly surprised at how they maintain a balance between what's similar and what's different from the comic.

LOL... I did the same thing. People had talked about it... and when I saw Netflix had it, I watched all of it one Saturday. Been hooked since.

Fringe is on my "need to watch" list... I've heard a bunch of good things about that. I have to finish a lot of other shows first though... ex: Sons of Anarchy & Breaking Bad.

Loved My Name is Earl. Are they still putting out new episodes?
