On this date... a long time ago... Papa Fuji was born. He would have celebrated his ninety-third birthday. If you're wondering why the photo of him is cropped so poorly, it's because we wanted to capture the Pigeon Point Lighthouse in the background.

Quite a day of feats, but none top the last one. HBD Papa Fuji!
Papa Fuji would probably had me not allowed to be friends with you after my gum post lol. Anyways here's another fact about Cobb's 4000th hit it came against the Detroit Tigers fast forward to April 13th 1984 the only other player to get 5000+ hits Pete Rose (also day before Pete's 43rd birthday) came against the Philadelphia Phillies making the guys with 4000+ hits got them against the team they played with last before getting with the new team. Cobb was a Tigers player & Rose was a Phillies player since he got his knock while a member of the Montreal Expos. As for Rose it came 21 years to date of his 1st hit against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
