Why did I wait so long? Well to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of paying for Bush. And after all of the hype over this piece of cardboard a few years back, there was no way I was going to overpay.
But good things come to those who wait and last week I found this at the card show for a little over 7¢. I couldn't believe it. A good Bush will often set you back a nice steak dinner or even a diamond ring. However if you're willing to be patient and not picky, then you might be lucky enough to find one for some spare change in your pocket.
Best of all... this Bush is mint and has never been trimmed... just the way I like it. The only downside is that I'm not exactly sure of how many guys have touched this particular Bush. It's one thing to be the second or third guy to own it, but what if I'm the hundredth?
I'm not even going to think about it and ruin the moment.
Happy Saturday and sayonara!
Hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteGreat Card! Congrats Fuji!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget protection when you touch that Bush. I recommend a thick, hard, rigid toploader. Then you can put in in and out and in and out without worry.
ReplyDeleteNapkin Poon, ladies and gents.
DeleteI can't believe I forgot to use protection. Great call.
DeleteYou said "bush"! heh, heh heh, heh.
ReplyDeleteThis might be too early, but this is the best post of the year
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's not often I channel my middle school humor.
DeleteHah...that's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit...I bought an entire blaster of 2007 Topps on the faint hope I'd pull this card. And I did. It's still one of my favorites. Nice find!
ReplyDelete+1 for the Revenge of the Nerd reference. +1000 for public pubic innuendo.
ReplyDeleteGlad someone caught that. I was going to add a clip with Booger... but figured I'd see if anyone else could figure it out without it.
DeleteIt's tough to get 80's movie references by me, I didn't leave the house much or sleep as a child.
DeleteI don't get it. We are talking Baseball cards, right?
ReplyDeleteOf course! Nothing but cardboard on this blog.
DeleteI remember when this card was all the rage when I got back into collecting cards in 2007 and I was lucky enough to pull Bush from Wal-Mart that year.
ReplyDeleteTrust me... this Bush is nicer in person.
