Just Keep Swimming

When life gets you down, do you know what you gotta do?  Just keep swimming.

I'm grateful to have such a great family who has been there for each other the last week and a half.  And I can't write this enough... but I thankful for the compassion and thoughtfulness our blogosphere has shown as well.

Last, but certainly not least... I want to thank my friends who have been there for me on a regular basis... especially two of my closest friendsJen and Yama.

2017 Archives Fan Favorites Autographs #FFA-ML

I had the honor of writing my mother's obituary and Jen was one of the people who helped me edit and revise it.  She's a fellow SJSU alumni... just like Mark Langston.

As some of you may know, dogs also have the amazing ability to offer great emotional support during tough times.  She's made sure to bring Mika, her Bernese Mountain Dog over several times to help put a smile on my face.

My other best friend lives almost 700 miles away in Lake Oswego, Oregon.  Yet, a day hasn't passed where we haven't talked and texted.  She also surprised me by flying out last night to hang with me this weekend.

Yama is a University of Arizona alumni... just like San Diego Padre legend... Trevor Hoffman.

Thank you Jenny, Mika, and Yama for motivating me to just keep swimming.

Happy Saturday and sayonara!
