But you wanna know what is nice? It's pretty nice when you find out that you just won the door prize to the 7th Annual Almost the Easiest Super Bowl Contest on the Web over at Cynical Buddha's blog: Collector's Crack.
The big ticket prize was this 1991 UD Domino's Pizza Quarterback Challenge set:
In addition the set, there were a bunch of Seattle Seahawks bonus cards included too:
I was really excited to see a memorabilia card of the Hawk's all-time leading rusher...
2002 Pacific Game Worn Jerseys #43
a super shiny, refractory kind of card of the highest rated quarterback in franchise history...
2016 Donruss Optic #89
and a promo card of the Hawk who has the 8th most receptions in team history:
2003 UD Promos #131
Thank you Cynical Buddha for holding this super easy Super Bowl contest again... and for all of these nice additions to my Seattle Seahawks PC.
Happy Saturday and sayonara!
I came across a near complete UD Dominos set from a thrift store collection a little while ago - unfortunately, it looked like most of the cards were partially inserted into a shredder. Very strange. Yours looks much better!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Dominoes set is cool.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the door prize! The Domino's set was one of my faves as a kid. Nice Seahawks, too - I dig that Richard Sherman blue prizm.
ReplyDeleteThere are some very cool Seahawks cards and any collection that includes a Shaun Alexander jersey is an awesome win.
ReplyDeleteCool prize win! just too bad Patriots won the super bowl
ReplyDeletetony - i think i have a bunch of doubles. if you email me a list of the cards you need, i'll send them your way.
ReplyDeletehackenbush - if they only made their pizza as good as their cards
chris - yeah, that sherman is sweet. the shiny wilson is my personal fave.
corky - true. i was more of a curt warner kind of guy, but there's no denying that alexander is the greatest running back in franchise history.
sport card collectors - it's especially bad that they beat my hawks three years ago too.
