Don't look now but Cardinals Devil Magic is going to put a stop to that.

  2. Unless some clone technology magically appears so that the Cubs pitch Arrieta every game, they don't survive against the Cardinals.

  4. The Cubs will be set up for some horrible event in the playoffs. It is their dynasty to crush the hopes and dreams of their fanbase.

  5. So I'm sitting in the really swanky hotel bar across from Minute Maid Park a month or so ago, having a brew and talking Orioles baseball with an old friend before we head in to see the Stros and Mariners. Out of nowhere this dude next to us butts in and asks me how the Arrieta trade is working out for us right about now. And yes, he's wearing Cub gear. Of my three options, (ask him how the Lou Brock deal worked out for him, drop my beer on his head, ignore him) I chose to ignore him and root against the Cubs this post season.
