Okay... I've decided to call an audible and change the point structure for this mini contest. Based on the original scoring system only 18 out of the 33 participants would earn points.
Well... I'm going to change that, because that doesn't seem fun or fair.
Here's the new point system:
1 Point - Make zero correct predictions.
3 Points - Make one correct prediction.
6 Points - Make two correct predictions.
-2 Points - Penalty for not making a prediction.
I'm not changing the penalty, mainly because I feel plenty of time was given to enter. Plus I woke up early this morning and posted a reminder notice. As I mentioned before, this clears out some of the "one & done" participants, while helping everyone else increase their odds.
Here's a breakdown of everyone's predictions and the # of points earned:
Surprisingly, nobody picked Melky Cabrera to hit the first home run or win the MVP Award.
Milwaukee Southpaw was the only person to predict both the winner of the game and the combined runs scored. So he gets 6 points, while everyone else either earned 1 or 3 points.
Thanks again to everyone who took the time to participate. I'm on a roll in terms of mini contests... so stay tuned because I have another one in tomorrow's post.
Don't worry... it's the third and final one for the summer. After that, we'll go back to answering my daily questions.
Happy Tuesday everyone and sayonara!
Woot woot~!
